About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Investigate threat and assault allegations within manufacturing and parts distribution
  • Investigate workplace issues and externally filed complaints, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other policy violations
  • Recommend outcomes for investigations
  • Analyze behavior to identify concerning and potentially escalating situations
  • Partner with Human Resources, Labor Relations, and Security on case handling and disposition
  • Work with company functions, operating committee members, the Office of the General Counsel, and outside counsel
  • Prepare, track, and maintain investigation documentation
  • Develop and implement investigation plans
  • Drive timely closure of open cases and concerns
  • Manage employee data and statements confidentially
  • Draft concise and clear investigation reports
  • Partner cross-functionally on investigations, discipline, performance management, and employee relations
  • Promote ethical, compliant, and safe behavior aligned with company policy and government regulations
  • Support grievance, arbitration, and litigation processes from an investigations standpoint
  • Analyze case activity and determine trends and recommendations for proactive actions
  • Foster an effective, inclusive work environment and balance employee advocacy with company goals and values

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of investigative experience, corporate security, human resources investigations, or law enforcement
  • Strong objective interviewing, crisis de-escalation, emotional intelligence, threat assessment, meticulous report-writing and documentation
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing and/or complex multi facility environment with a unionized workforce (preferred)
  • Prior experience conducting threat and assault investigations (preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and matrixed work environment (preferred)
  • Master's degree in related field (preferred)
  • Certification or training in behavioral threat assessment/investigations (preferred)
  • Leadership behaviors and integrity combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and oral/written communication skills
  • Ability to lift no more than 10 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work primarily in a seated position in low to moderate noise levels
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
