About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create detailed Assembly Illustrations, Engine/Powertrain Component Illustrations, and Homologation Drawings according to Ford processes and standards
  • Apply knowledge of vehicle architecture, engine/powertrain functionality, and assembly sequences to produce accurate illustrations
  • Generate professional illustrations using 3DX, Catia Composer, Teamcenter, Vis-Mockup, and Adobe Illustrator
  • Translate complex technical specifications into visually engaging and precise illustrations
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to visualize vehicle concepts and support design reviews
  • Use Adobe Photoshop for image editing and high-quality visual assets for technical documentation
  • Work effectively in an international environment with global, regional, and local teams
  • Evaluate and improve illustration quality and accuracy using analytical skills
  • Use MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, for documentation and presentations
  • Demonstrate One Ford Behavior and contribute positively to team culture and collaboration
  • Communicate clearly and professionally across all organizational levels

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical/automobile) or related disciplines
  • 2 to 6 years of experience in the automotive industry
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Technical Documentation using Catia Composer, Adobe Illustrator, or leading technical documentation tools
  • In-depth CAD tool skills: Catia V5, Catia Composer, Adobe Illustrator, Teamcenter, and Vismockup
  • Expertise in vehicle systems and sub-systems, including Interior, Exterior, Chassis, Powertrain, Electrical, and vehicle architecture
  • Work experience with PLM tools: Teamcenter and 3DX
  • Knowledge of engineering quality tools, including FMEAs and Six Sigma
  • Knowledge of applied systems engineering and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Knowledge of New Product Introduction processes, milestones, and engineering delivery success criteria
  • Knowledge of material cost, business equations, and basic finance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Working knowledge of Office Tools
