About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop detailed understanding of various technologies and architectures
  • Deliver Contribution Cost and Investment Targets for program milestones through Job #1 with timely, high-quality financials
  • Support cross-functional decision-making through benchmarking and futuring affordable cost
  • Drive capital allocation prioritization decisions through accurate and clear business cases
  • Lead ad hoc studies supporting vertical integration, global sourcing decisions, make-versus-buy scenarios, and capacity analysis
  • Support on-time sourcing and program timing delivery
  • Lead preparation of management slides and ad hoc financial reporting and analysis
  • Support development of a platform Bill of Material
  • Leverage modernization tools such as Power BI and data analytics to report program financials, identify efficiencies, drive value creation, simplify processes, and increase agility
  • Partner with engineering, program management, supply chain, and tech planning teams to drive financial performance, accurate reporting, and strategic decision-making

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles
  • Strong focus on operational partnering, physicals-based budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, or financial systems
  • MBA or CPA (or equivalent) preferred
  • Prior PD experience and/or PD systems (e.g., FEDEBoM) preferred
  • Broad business mindset and ability to operate under a whitespace environment
  • Ability to prioritize, work independently, and advance multiple assignments concurrently and quickly
  • Ability to build strong relationships cross-functionally
  • Proven leadership and management experience
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel and Power BI or similar
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and processes
  • Strong understanding of the automotive industry, particularly in a global context
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
