About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with the Ascent and Pega tools
  • Respond to plant needs to protect daily and weekly schedules
  • Support operating plans and schedules without remix or production losses
  • Find efficiencies in current-state operations to expand supply-risk evaluation
  • Seek and mitigate premium costs and improve processes to reduce premium needs
  • Identify cost-efficient ways to support production schedules
  • Lead initiatives to reduce premium costs in collaboration with MP&L Logistics
  • Communicate and quantify risks, escalate to leadership, and report issues with solutions or assistance needs
  • Work cross-functionally with Purchasing, Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Supplier Operations Team (SOT), Product Development, and plants
  • Manage critical suppliers and accountability to Ford supplier expectations and Global Terms

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or supply chain organization
  • Knowledge of or experience in Ford with production planning and execution
  • A proven track record in supply chain operations (inbound flows / Packaging / outbound flows / diversity / demand & supply planning / in-plant logistic operations / warehouse management)
  • Well-versed with MS Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Bias for action in identifying and working to solve issues identified in the clear to build horizon.
