Key responsibilities & impact

Design and develop responsive, performant web applications using Angular/React, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks
Build scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Spring Boot, Java, and microservices architecture
Build reusable frameworks and collaborate with DevOps to ensure highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant platforms
Migrate legacy applications to GCP and modernize codebases using current frameworks
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to standards, design patterns, and architecture principles
Integrate GenAI capabilities and agentic workflows within the GCP ecosystem
Design, develop, and deploy ML models using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
Build end-to-end ML pipelines covering data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and deployment on Vertex AI
Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate business problems into AI/ML solutions
Build observability with performance monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, operational and business metrics, and proactive alerting
Participate in TDD, CI/CD, DevOps, Agile XP, testing automation, security practices, quality gates, and code coverage
Work with data pipelines and GCP data services for analytical and ML workloads

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of professional software development experience
Strong proficiency in Java, including Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Security
Proficiency with Angular or React and TypeScript
Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Run, App Engine, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub
Hands-on Python experience for AI/ML development using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
Experience with microservices architecture, REST API design, Docker, and Kubernetes
Experience with TDD, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Tekton, SonarQube, and Checkmarx
Experience building observability solutions involving monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting for operational and business metrics
Proficiency with GitHub and Infrastructure as Code concepts
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Experience working in Agile/XP environments
Preferred: experience with Generative AI/LLM applications, prompt engineering, agentic AI workflows, Vertex AI, data pipelines, MLOps, databases, Terraform, and GCP Professional certifications
