About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own end-to-end sourcing strategy for critical spend areas across the UEV platform and follow-on advanced EV programs from strategy development through SOP
- Lead supplier selection, contracting, and ongoing cost, quality, and delivery performance
- Partner with engineering from concept through launch and align sourcing strategy with technical roadmaps, design freeze milestones, and prototype-to-production transitions
- Structure commercial agreements that protect program timing without sacrificing cost leverage
- Build first-principles should-cost models with cross-functional teams
- Set negotiation positions, evaluate quote submissions, and challenge supplier pricing line by line
- Lead make-vs-buy analysis
- Develop a resilient supply base by identifying and qualifying Tier 1 and Tier 2 partners across geographies
- Build dual-source and regional capacity strategies addressing raw material scarcity, geopolitical risk, and global trade and tariff changes
- Drive supply-chain automation and partner with suppliers on process automation and robotics
- Shape supply-chain tools and processes, including should-cost methodology, supplier and agreement management systems, and AI-enabled analytics
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain management or commodity management
- Creative negotiation skills and out-of-the-box strategy
- Strong relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field, or MBA (preferred)
- Hands-on experience building and launching highly effective supply chains (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (preferred)
- Willingness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment (preferred)
- Systems approach to design and development, with focus on delivery execution and continuous improvement (preferred)
- Eagerness to expand into new commodity areas as the ADVEV portfolio grows (preferred)
