About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support end-to-end procurement activities across assigned indirect procurement categories
Execute sourcing initiatives, supplier selection activities, and purchasing processes
Analyse supplier quotations and cost structures to identify savings opportunities
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and support sourcing strategies
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to enhance performance, quality, delivery, and cost competitiveness
Conduct regular supplier reviews to identify performance gaps and drive corrective actions
Support risk management, compliance, and procurement governance activities
Contribute to cost reduction and process improvement initiatives
Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and commodity developments
Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and ethical sourcing standards
Share knowledge and best practices with team members and support team development initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Diploma qualifications may be considered with significant purchasing experience
2-5 years of purchasing or procurement experience within the automotive industry
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of cost drivers and supplier commercial management principles
Experience supporting sourcing activities and supplier negotiations
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Strong stakeholder management and supplier relationship skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Good planning, organisation, and time management skills
Flexibility to work across different shift timings based on business requirements
Experience in indirect procurement categories preferred
Knowledge of procurement systems and sourcing tools preferred
Exposure to supplier performance management and cost optimisation projects preferred
Ability to analyse spend data and support strategic sourcing decisions preferred
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills preferred
