About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee the enterprise Manufacturing Learning Operations roadmap by coordinating inputs, tracking actions, preparing materials, and translating priorities into executable workplans
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Manufacturing Capabilities Framework, including content updates, feedback tracking, version control, documentation, and alignment with evolving manufacturing technologies and skills requirements
  • Deliver the enterprise Learning Needs Assessment process across plants using templates, calendars, data collection tools, interviews, workshops, and summary outputs
  • Coordinate Learning Data and Evaluation activities by gathering, validating, analyzing, and reporting workforce skills, training, completion, adoption, effectiveness, readiness, and learning-impact metrics
  • Develop dashboards, reporting templates, standard work, and recurring updates for data-informed decisions
  • Support Manufacturing Learning Council operations, including agendas, pre-reads, logistics, action tracking, decision documentation, and communications
  • Partner with plant, regional, HR, Learning and Development, Ford Production System, and business stakeholders to deploy learning processes, standards, and solutions
  • Develop the Ford Production System team monthly newsletter and website updates
  • Identify and help implement process improvements in learning operations, governance, reporting, and plant support
  • Promote collaboration, inclusion, continuous improvement, and learning across Manufacturing Learning and Development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in related fields such as Learning/Instructional design in Manufacturing, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Learning and Development, manufacturing operations, HR, organizational development, project management, or related field
  • Experience supporting learning, training, capability building, competency frameworks, skills matrices, or workforce development programs
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects, workplans, meetings, deliverables, documentation, and stakeholder follow-up in a matrix environment
  • Strong analytical skills with experience gathering, organizing, interpreting, and presenting data
  • Strong written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to build relationships, influence without direct authority, manage priorities, and deliver results with multiple stakeholders
  • Proficiency with learning systems, collaboration tools, spreadsheets, dashboards, presentation tools, and standard office technology
  • Ability to work with confidential employee, learning, and business information in accordance with company policies
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Preferred/Even Better: manufacturing, automotive, plant, or production system experience; Adult Learning Theory, instructional design, curriculum development, learning evaluation, or needs assessment knowledge; LMS, LXP, skills management, learning analytics, Power BI, SharePoint, or similar platforms; governance forums or enterprise standard work deployment; project management or learning certification; Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or Value Stream Mapping experience
