About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support product launches of the F-150 program
  • Deliver manufacturing processes and tools from concept through implementation
  • Ensure workstations and processes meet quality, safety, and manufacturing efficiency standards
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, quality, and program management teams
  • Create, modify, and update program-specific process sheets
  • Perform DPA5 checks and escalate part or process issues
  • Support virtual build sequence, virtual builds, and P-Release
  • Complete design-phase Health Chart assessments
  • Create and update PFMEAs for the Conformance Letter
  • Support development and sign-off of the Special Characteristics Cascade and Agreement Form (SCCAF)
  • Develop program cost analyses from Vignette through PA
  • Define tooling and equipment needs, including tooling, automation, pallets, and conveyance
  • Support cycle-line layout and workstation engineering
  • Provide benchmark data for equipment availability, MTTR, and MTBF simulations
  • Adhere to the master schedule and work with the Facility team to identify needs
  • Develop tooling design and build statements of work
  • Develop process RFQs and initiate supplier purchase orders
  • Lead pre-FDJ shop buy-offs
  • Support preproduction prototype builds
  • Document and resolve build issues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's of Engineering
  • 1+ years' experience in a Manufacturing Engineering environment
  • Knowledge of Global Manufacturing Standard (GMS) and Vehicle Operation Structure Standard (VOSS)
  • Knowledge of NFPA70E, NFPA79, ANSI, SAE HS-1738, and UL 508A
  • Implementation of error-proofing
  • Problem-solving skills using statistics
  • Ability to lead 8D
  • MS Office competency, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of personnel for the duration of the program
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
  • Domestic relocation is not available
