About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, configure, and manage Microsoft 365 license application and lifecycle management
- Manage the health, version and release management, change control, lifecycle planning, technology state, workloads, consumption, and capacity demand of the license portfolio
- Manage licenses for Microsoft 365, Adobe Suite, PuTTY, Notepad++, 7-Zip, and other enterprise tools
- Develop and enforce licensing rules, guidelines, and exception processes
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation for global license delivery and maintenance
- Collaborate on Microsoft Modern Desktop and application/configuration management initiatives
- Improve software and application acquisition, usage, and customer experiences
- Integrate global applications, utilities, technologies, and suites into a cohesive product offering
- Participate in projects that enhance and innovate the Client Service offering
- Ensure security controls, compliance, governance, and Ford IT architecture standards are maintained
- Communicate service usage, value, and enhancements to customers
- Monitor Microsoft 365 and related technology developments and recommend solutions and enhancements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience
- Proficiency with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, GitHub, Power Platform, and other scripting and automation tools
- Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft 365 services, features, and administration
- Experience in infrastructure operational support and enterprise IT operations
- Ability to work effectively with a global technical team
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple workloads
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Microsoft 365 or related technical certifications are preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Intune or Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for enterprise software delivery is preferred
- Experience managing Microsoft 365 licensing, applications, and service lifecycles is preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, and cloud-based identity and access management is preferred
- Experience developing scripts, automation, or workflows is preferred
- Familiarity with enterprise change management, incident management, and IT service management practices is preferred
- Experience supporting Microsoft technologies in a large, global enterprise environment is preferred
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
