About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a key gatekeeper for New Model Programs throughout the launch lifecycle
  • Manage and oversee pre-production build events for quality and efficiency
  • Manage ordering, building, testing, and disposition of pre-production vehicles
  • Execute the Pre-Production Drive Fleet Evaluation Plan
  • Manage approval of Product Development changes and ensure integration before prototype builds
  • Lead cross-functional build issue management through resolution
  • Co-chair launch meetings and drive resolution of part support issues
  • Manage launch budget approval processes and New Model Programs budget elements
  • Prepare and present weekly New Model Program assessment reports
  • Communicate program status, challenges, risks, and proposed solutions to senior management
  • Facilitate transition and integration of launch teams into manufacturing plants
  • Collaborate with diverse skill teams to deliver new vehicle and powertrain launches across Ford's North America manufacturing plants

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project
  • 2+ years of experience with problem solving disciplines using statistical mindsets
  • 1+ years of experience in Powertrain/Vehicle Operations manufacturing, design, and/or program management, with Project management or launch experience
  • Frequent and extensive long-term travel, up to 9-12 months at a time, to support vehicle and powertrain assembly plants during new model launches
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field (preferred)
  • Program management experience (preferred)
  • Manufacturing experience (preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (preferred)
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized (preferred)
  • Understanding of processes and methodologies involved in bringing new vehicle models from development into full-scale production (preferred)
  • Experience with Engineering Change Management and Issue Management (preferred)
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
