About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with design studio, product and marketing teams to create new automotive products and electromechanical/digital experiences
  • Drive development from concept through prototyping, engineering development builds, validation, production release, and sustaining/field failure analysis
  • Bring up designs developed in-house and at JDM/OEM
  • Test designs for reliability and validity and implement changes to address issues
  • Create rapid prototypes using off-the-shelf or quickly fabricated parts
  • Understand prototyping tradeoffs and mitigate risks affecting team progress
  • Integrate designs into vehicles with other engineering teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on relevant industry experience
  • Experience in design, characterization, and validation of consumer electronics, vehicle systems, input devices and/or HMI (preferred)
  • Background in prototyping, full scale mockups and looks like/feels like demonstrations (preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills regarding mechanical engineering theory (preferred)
  • Relevant internship experience, school projects and passion projects demonstrating passion for product development (preferred)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
