About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the design, release, and delivery of components and systems across multiple commodities for Ford Racing on current and upcoming new model programs
  • Manage Quality, Cost, Weight, Function and Timing (QCWFT) to support program and engineering GPDS milestones
  • Lead Full Service Suppliers and other internal/external resources to deliver programs
  • Manage design and color/material studio interfaces to deliver to customer expectations
  • Assure conformance to Ford Racing DNA and applicable Ford and regulatory requirements
  • Develop innovative solutions for high-performance vehicles and enthusiast customers
  • Support issue resolution and design change management during prototype and launch builds
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with the Core Engineering Organization
  • Drive cost reduction execution using the TVM process, CRID tracking, and VCAT activities
  • Execute and facilitate TVM cost-reduction processes, including cross-functional coordination, meeting cadence, CRID action tracking, and VCAT initiatives
  • Lead planning and delivery of cross-functional events to identify cost-reduction initiatives
  • Partner with the Global Material Cost Team and TVM Finance
  • Escalate issues to ensure appropriate support and alignment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering required
  • 3-5+ Years of experience in Design & Release
  • 2+ Year of experience using CAD or other visualization tools
  • Understanding of program delivery processes / GPDS
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Masters of Science in Engineering preferred
