About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Facilitate weekly cross-functional virtual 3D Cycle Line Layout Meetings
  • Use 3D simulations to drive collaboration among Process, Product, IE, Ergo, Layout, MP&L, and Safety teams
  • Lead digital assessment and 3D modeling of manual and semi-automated workstations from concept (uPSC) through final validation (uDC)
  • Champion digital milestone reviews and Virtual Build Events
  • Ensure stations meet standards for tooling clearance, operator ergonomics, and material flow before Digital Job 1
  • Build and maintain Digital Twins in Siemens Teamcenter
  • Perform complex 3D simulations involving dynamic humans, machines, and robots to identify bottlenecks, pinch points, and clearance issues
  • Serve as the primary interface between engineering workstreams to optimize manufacturing strategies for the plant environment
  • Drive adoption of Virtual Reality and advanced simulation software, including VET tool suite and IC.IDO
  • Support global digital engineering methods and standards and the centralized Center of Excellence model
  • Support on-site launches, resolve issues identified during the digital phase, and validate physical builds against the digital twin

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering or Design Engineering Technology; Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred
  • Proficiency in Siemens Teamcenter, Vis Mockup, and Process Simulate (Tecnomatix)
  • Experience in a Manufacturing or Launch environment
  • Proven ability to lead meetings, manage conflict between competing engineering priorities, and drive groups toward a shared solution
  • Practical experience with 3D modeling (CATIA or similar), Ergonomic analysis tools, and Discrete Event Simulation (DES)
  • Ability to identify complex assembly issues in a virtual environment and develop creative, cost-effective engineering solutions
  • Ability to remain effective and proactive in times of ambiguity and rapid technological change
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex digital data to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to travel to plant locations as required, mainly in North America
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
