About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create and manage robust, parametric, associative Build to Print parts using CATIA V5/V6 or similar CAD software, Teamcenter, and Vismockup
  • Develop 3D CAD design concepts and alternatives
  • Create and manage assemblies, drawings, motion files, CAD data, and the complete vehicle environment with system interfaces
  • Manage BOM structures and release processes
  • Identify system interfaces and potential design incompatibilities using virtual validation tools
  • Lead design reviews and visualization or demonstration activities
  • Resolve compatibility, feasibility, and functionality issues with tool shops and suppliers
  • Collaborate with Product Development Engineering teams on feasibility, attribute, and functional issues
  • Apply automation tools such as IPS to improve efficiency
  • Design components according to functional requirements, design rules, CAD methodologies, and drafting standards
  • Support sheet metal front-end and platform system requirements
  • Identify and deploy efficiency, tool, and process improvements
  • Raise relevant concerns and communicate clearly with appropriate detail

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active student in Automotive, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Robotics Engineering
  • Experience with 3D CAD and 2D drafting
  • Strong engineering fundamentals in Mechanical, Structural, Materials, and GD&T
  • Basic CAE knowledge desirable
  • Fundamental understanding of sheet metal forming processes, FLD, and stamping feasibility
  • Knowledge of Core Tools, including DFMEA, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, and Systems Engineering
  • Knowledge of CATIA V5/V6, Teamcenter, and Vismockup
  • Systems Engineering approach
