Purchasing Trainee

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support analysis of supply consolidation to leverage negotiations and productivity while reducing current complexity
- Analyze annual cost savings goals to identify commercial leverage, design efficiencies, and end-to-end supply chain improvements
- Analyze multiple potential scenarios and business plans
- Review existing processes and identify improvement opportunities
- Support Operational and Category Implementation Buyers on sourcing, resourcing, banking, and operations activities
- Work with Product Development, Quality, Finance, and suppliers
- Support the Purchasing Team with supply-base cost structure analysis, supplier negotiations, and Ford spend optimization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active student from any of the last 2 semesters in Engineering, International Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field of study
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent study level
- 90% English skills (oral, reading, writing, and listening)
- Planning skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong analytical skills; must be data driven and able to analyze multiple potential scenarios/business plans
- Strong negotiation skills, or willingness to learn about negotiation
- Self-starter and motivated
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
