About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review customer feedback to identify and prioritize UX design updates for Touchscreen Centerstacks
  • Review product designs and provide input on integrating them into the in-vehicle experience
  • Leverage AI/LLMs to categorize customer feedback databases and identify design issues, including prompt development and manual verification
  • Validate Touchscreen Centerstack UX and appearance quality to ensure implementation meets design intent
  • Track UX issues through closure, document program status on healthcharts, and escalate delayed issues
  • Create a prioritized list of UX and appearance quality updates with Product Management, Engineering, and Product Designers
  • Support development of new tools and processes for early issue identification
  • Work under Customer Confidence & Centerstack team leadership within Digital Product Design’s Digital Experience Quality center of excellence

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, ergonomics, interactive design or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in user interface or user interaction design
  • 3+ years of experience with Ford/Lincoln Digital Experience product development or equivalent
  • Excellent teamwork, leadership, interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
  • Preferred: 4+ years of user interface or user interactive design experience
  • Preferred: 2+ years usability testing experience
  • Preferred: 2+ years concept validation experience
  • Preferred: 2+ years LLM prompt engineering
  • Preferred: 2+ years UX prototyping experience
  • Proficient with Figma, JIRA, and Microsoft Office
  • Comfortable working on changing demands, including changing deadlines
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with minimal direction
  • Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment
