About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the design, release, and delivery of components and systems across multiple interior commodities for Ford Racing on an upcoming new model program
  • Manage Quality, Cost, Weight, Function and Timing (QCWFT) to support program and engineering GPDS milestones
  • Lead Full-Service Suppliers and/or other internal/external resources to deliver the program
  • Manage design and color/material studio interfaces to deliver to customer expectations
  • Assure conformance to Ford Racing DNA and applicable Ford and regulatory requirements
  • Develop innovative solutions for high-performance vehicles and enthusiast customers
  • Support issue resolution and design change management during prototype and launch builds
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with the Core Body Interior Engineering Organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering required
  • 5-8+ years of experience in Body Interior Instrument Panel (IP) Design & Release, including delivery of 1 completed program
  • 3-5+ years of experience using CAD or other visualization tools
  • Understanding of program delivery processes / GPDS
  • Working knowledge of 3DX, Teamcenter, Vis Mockup, CATIA, DFMEA, FEDE, FEDEBOM, WERS
  • Fabrication/mockup skills to demonstrate proof of concept
  • Ability to connect analytical tools with physical hardware and vehicle performance
  • Passion for performance vehicles
  • Launch experience preferred
  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred
  • Experience delivering multiple interior commodities on a single program preferred
  • Experience leading Full-Service Suppliers or other external engineering partners preferred
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
