About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Continuously monitor updates, revisions, and proposed changes to UL 9540/9540A, IEC 62619/62933, NFPA 855, NEC, UN38.3, and regional grid interconnection standards
  • Maintain a regulatory horizon-scanning register tracking upcoming code cycles and anticipated effective dates by jurisdiction
  • Interpret ambiguous or conflicting code language with legal, certification bodies, and external regulatory consultants
  • Build and maintain jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction compliance matrices for markets where Ford Energy products are sold or deployed
  • Decompose regulatory clauses into atomic, testable, unambiguous engineering requirements
  • Maintain bi-directional traceability from regulation to requirement, design element, and verification test
  • Partner with the Requirements and Test Methods Authoring Engineer to ensure regulatory-derived requirements have validated test methods
  • Facilitate requirements walk-throughs with systems, electrical, mechanical, and software engineering leads
