About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and develop complex infotainment systems focused on high-performance HMI
  • Design and develop Rust services supporting infotainment systems and supporting frameworks
  • Develop reusable modules and UI components using SOLID design principles
  • Prepare and maintain documentation on software design, architecture, and API usage
  • Create proof of concepts for next-generation infotainment systems
  • Profile, analyze, and improve application code and system integration to optimize performance
  • Participate in system design, documentation, and testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software and hardware components
  • Work in an agile team with software developers, test engineers, technical product managers, and leads
  • Develop services, frameworks, and APIs enabling applications for navigation, media, entertainment, phone, voice, and vehicle settings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • 8+ years of software development experience
  • 4+ years of experience with the Rust programming language
  • 1+ year of experience designing simple, elegant APIs with emphasis on clarity, scalability, flexibility, versioning, and error handling
  • 1+ year of experience with C++17 programming language (preferred)
  • Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python and Bash (preferred)
  • Experience profiling and improving embedded software performance (preferred)
  • Expertise and proficiency in pair programming (preferred)
  • Proficiency working in Linux and macOS environments (preferred)
  • Proficiency with version control systems such as Git and Agile development methodologies (preferred)
  • Experience designing simple, elegant APIs with emphasis on clarity, scalability, flexibility, versioning, and error handling (preferred)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Verification of employment eligibility required at hire
