About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Meet market metrics including fill rate, inventory turns, and backorders
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly processes and meet key deliverables
- Procure service parts from external global suppliers and Ford plants
- Respond to dealer part status requests and expedite processing through suppliers, carriers, or PDCs
- Perform denied-order root cause analysis and implement containment actions
- Review forecast changes and stock-order suggestions to identify unusual trends
- Track open issues with detailed information in the issue log
- Participate in issue-log meetings with subject-matter experts and decision-makers
- Interface with Purchasing, Engineering, Product Analysis, Supplier Development Performance, suppliers, and dealers to resolve part issues
- Resolve low or negative inventory positions and expedite inventory movement
- Address root causes of inventory shortages and escalate aging backorders
- Participate in Six Sigma projects and continuous-improvement initiatives
- Eliminate non-value-added activities in process steps
- Review overdue-part supportability with Purchasing
- Support direct-sourcing strategy through cost-volume analysis
- Facilitate meetings with Purchasing, SCM, Warehouse, and STA to resolve supply issues
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Production, or Industrial Engineering
- 2 to 5 years of experience in SCM from any OEM/Tier 1 supplier (SG4/5)
- 1.5 to 5 years of experience stated in the qualifications
- Experience with Supply Chain Management
- Experience in auto components, service parts, logistics, or inventory planning and management
- Knowledge of SCM fundamentals and supply management concepts
- Analytical skills
- Good communication
- Cross-country exposure
- Willingness to work late evening shifts: 12:30 PM to 10:00 PM or 2:00 PM to 11:30 PM
