About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage complex engineering projects
  • Set timelines and budgets
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across studio design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, and supply chain
  • Deliver fully integrated EV vehicle exterior systems meeting cost, weight, efficiency, and operational tolerance targets
  • Drive engineering teams toward containment and resolution of issues from design reviews, virtual builds, and build events
  • Protect schedules for prototype build dates, start of production, and ongoing production
  • Maintain supplier relationships with the Supply Chain team to ensure timely build-event deliveries
  • Monitor outputs and deliverables for system and vehicle incompatibilities and integration opportunities
  • Identify risks and ensure mitigation actions are progressing
  • Set meeting agendas for key decisions, eliminate bottlenecks, and retire risks
  • Support cross-functional decisions across engineering, finance, and strategy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in an automotive product development environment
  • Experience with Catia V5/6, Confluence, and Jira applications
  • In-depth technical knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and design principles specific to exterior systems
  • Knowledge of trim, front end structural and assembly, glazing, lighting, ADAS sensor integrations, and related exterior systems
  • Detailed knowledge of the product development process from design, development, validation, and industrialization
  • Proven experience driving progress on multiple projects across multiple locations and timelines
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Verification of employment eligibility required at hire
