About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the Directly Responsible Individual for Unified BOM, Product Structure, Release, Configuration, and Change Management strategies in the 3DX Platform and PLM/Enovia system
Govern data models and system configurations across the enterprise
Drive value-stream mapping Kaizens to identify pain points and process inefficiencies
Collaborate with skill teams and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver digital engineering solutions
Develop strategic digital engineering solutions that provide enterprise value
Engage business SMEs to understand and capture evolving needs and requirements
Partner with IT teams to configure, integrate, and deploy digital engineering solutions
Ensure global consistency of Unified BOM, Product Structure, Release, Configuration, and Change Management across Ford organizations
Facilitate deployment and user adoption of new capabilities with organizational change management
Lead global development and operations meetings, including agendas, facilitation, and minutes
Interface with regional business and IT teams worldwide to ensure alignment
Oversee onboarding and training of new team members
Monitor technology and process developments to drive innovation
Apply knowledge of Requirements, CAD, CAE/MOD/SIM, MBSE, Software Engineering, VR, visualization, BI/analytics/reporting, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to strategy and development

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science
10+ Years of Engineering Experience
Domain knowledge in 3DX
Domain knowledge in GPDS, Bill of Material Management, and Configuration Management
Preferred: domain knowledge and experience in Enovia, Catia, Netvibes, Virtual Twins, VET, IERP, MMP, Teamcenter, NX, and legacy Ford systems including PDO/PDL, FEDEWorkbench, FEDEBOM, C3PNG, GPIRS, E3P, VSEM, PC2, Aftersales, WERS, and CMMS3
Preferred: domain knowledge and experience in Product Definition, Change Management, and Issues Management
Preferred: some knowledge and ideally hands-on experience of software development
Preferred: knowledge of Agile Project Management
Preferred: familiarity with Jira for agile project management
Preferred: understanding of vehicle systems and architecture
Preferred: excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
