Key responsibilities & impact

Lead technical solution design and domain-driven decomposition of services powering Ford Production System (FPS+) operations across global manufacturing facilities
Design, build, and scale performant, resilient Go microservices using gRPC and RESTful APIs
Engineer event-driven message pipelines processing plant-floor sensor events, telemetry signals, and industrial payloads with deterministic sub-millisecond latencies
Architect distributed caching and database patterns across PostgreSQL, Cloud Spanner, Redis, and MongoDB
Design and guide development of dynamic, modular React.js applications
Enforce Core Web Vitals, bundle-size optimization, and cross-browser responsiveness
Establish coding standards, comprehensive unit/integration test coverage, and mandatory peer code reviews
Profile systems using Go runtime metrics and Chrome DevTools to eliminate performance bottlenecks, goroutine leaks, and network overhead
Act as technical lead by breaking down epics, conducting spike investigations, leading sprint backlog grooming, and collaborating with Product Managers and Solution Architects
Coach and mentor junior and mid-level software developers through technical guidance and pair programming

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years in a Technical Lead, Lead Developer, or Software Architect capacity guiding engineering squads and technical deliverables
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related quantitative field
Strong hands-on expertise building production-grade microservices in Go (Golang)
Deep mastery of concurrency patterns, memory allocation, and profiling
Extensive experience using Go web frameworks and building microservices communicating via gRPC / Protocol Buffers and RESTful APIs
Extensive expertise in modern React.js, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, modern hooks, component lifecycles, and state management libraries
Proven ability in distributed system design, latency optimization, caching strategies, and database query tuning using PostgreSQL and Cloud SQL
Hands-on experience deploying and managing containerized applications on Kubernetes (GKE or hybrid cloud)
Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services including Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, GKE, and BigQuery
Focus on test-driven development (TDD), CI/CD automation, and SonarQube quality gates
GCP Certified Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data / DevOps Engineer is a plus
