About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own services end-to-end from architecture and implementation through deployment and operations
  • Design, develop, and support platforms, APIs, and services as a Full Stack Software Engineer
  • Participate in whiteboard sessions to gather customer requirements
  • Develop SpringBoot/Java APIs and microservices on Google Cloud Platform using Cloud Run, Cloud Spanner, Cloud Pub/Sub, and other GCP services
  • Apply Test Driven Development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment
  • Work using Kanban methodology and Agile management tools such as Jira
  • Establish best practices with team members to maximize efficiency and minimize risk
  • Collaborate with product managers to devise solutions and create incremental production-ready user stories
  • Identify opportunities for new technologies and refactor APIs/microservices for simplicity and efficiency
  • Execute API load and performance testing
  • Develop Clean Code-compliant software using SonarQube
  • Collaborate on end-to-end integration, testing, and issue triage
  • Use Jenkins, SonarQube, Fossa, and GitHub to deploy, improve, and manage software
  • Contribute to technical direction while maintaining a customer-centric approach

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive responsibilities in cloud-based technically aligned functions
  • Experience designing, deploying, and supporting cloud-based solutions
  • Experience with API methods for systems integrations/data exchange
  • Knowledge of security considerations and implementation in cloud-based software solutions
  • Experience supporting critical applications in an “always on” environment
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform or comparable platforms
  • Experience with Cloud Run, GKE, PubSub, Cloud Functions/Schedulers, APIGEE, GCP Logging, Terraform scripts, Cloud Build, and Tekton
  • Experience with canary deployments
  • Experience with JSON, REST, Swagger, and Postman
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Master’s degree preferred
