About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead DMAIC projects to resolve quality issues during prototype builds, vehicle launch phases, and ongoing production
  • Partner with D&R engineers, PVT, Launch Team, Program Management, and supplier teams to drive root-cause corrective actions and eliminate recurring defects
  • Analyze launch and build data to identify trends and quantify process capability
  • Recommend design or process changes that improve first-time quality
  • Champion continuous improvement and coach engineering teams on Lean/Six Sigma tools and methodologies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Automotive, or related discipline) or equivalent
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification or ability to earn within 6 months
  • 3+ years of experience in vehicle launch, quality engineering, or manufacturing process improvement
  • Demonstrated experience applying statistical analysis and root-cause problem-solving tools (e.g., DMAIC, FMEA, SPC, 8D, A3, 3L5W) in an automotive or manufacturing environment
  • Prior hands-on experience with prototype build events and physical validation testing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Minitab statistical software
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive accountability for corrective actions
  • Proven self-starter able to thrive with minimal direction and drive initiatives with little to no oversight
  • Deep passion for motorsports and high-performance vehicle programs
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, experience supporting a vehicle program through launch, ongoing production quality improvement, enterprise engineering systems, and Design For Six Sigma certification are listed as advantages
