About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and utilize Design Thinking and User Experience methods for new car products and software features.
Create HMI software, including screens and widgets, for Ford’s SYNC infotainment system.
Utilize C++ and web application-layer software to develop interactive features such as vehicle settings and Software Update applications.
Provide high-level and low-level designs for assigned features.
Implement graphical user interfaces using QML/Qt Quick/Web technologies for Ford’s SYNC infotainment system.
Perform integration support.
Develop unit and integration testing for features.
Test software performance and document system design.
Debug customer-filed issues and fix bugs.
Incorporate AI/ML/LLM into software development to improve productivity and quality.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Requires a Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, engineering or a related field and 5 years of experience in the position offered or 3 years of experience performing software development using Qt/QML, C++, Android, Web programming, CSS, JavaScript, HTML and JavaScript Frameworks.
Requires 3 years of experience developing user interface components using Qt/QML or JavaScript Frameworks, Android application for embedded systems and web technologies.
Requires 2 years of experience developing software in an Agile development environment and using Agile methodologies.
Requires 2 years of experience developing HMIs for infotainment, embedded systems, or mobile platforms.
Requires 3 years of experience with at least three of the following: QNX OS or RTLinux, Android; unit-testing frameworks; inter-process communications; multi-threaded software applications; GNU debug tools.
Experience in React.js and React Native, GCP and AI/ML/LLM technologies is a plus.
