About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead Software Validation testing, analysis, and reporting for production and experimental software
  • Develop comprehensive verification methods (DVMs) for software integration testing and requirement validation
  • Implement DVMs in an automated Hardware-In-Loop environment using Python-based test scripts
  • Develop automated analysis and reporting methods using Python and MATLAB
  • Maintain feature-specific requirements traceability matrix
  • Maintain test scripts in the version control system
  • Solve embedded system faults involving hardware, software, and test bench functionality

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation
  • 2 years of experience testing and validating Automotive Embedded controllers against technical specifications and functional requirements
  • 2 years of experience testing and debugging Automotive Communication systems, including CAN, LIN, and Ethernet
  • 2 years of experience validating Battery Management Systems and controls for state estimation accuracy and functional safety compliance
  • 2 years of experience conducting Hardware-In-Loop testing
  • 2 years of experience using Python and Test Automation tools
  • 2 years of experience analyzing electrical circuits and their operation
  • 2 years of experience applying Data Analysis and Software debugging skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the Dearborn worksite
