About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify all New Tooled End Items for the program, including Multi-Party Agreements and directed tier 2 suppliers
  • Represent and advocate for suppliers in cross-functional meetings
  • Develop program-specific NTEI files and maintain program information in the eAPQP system
  • Obtain site codes and initiate eAPQP Schedule A submission requests
  • Lead priority supplier and Supplier Champion Process supplier selection
  • Train suppliers and cross-functional team members on the Supplier Engagement Process and APQP/PPAP Readiness Assessment
  • Manage and track completion of GPDS priority supplier team evaluations
  • Track PPAP and Schedule A status and submission requirements
  • Prepare documents for Milestone Reviews, Special Attention Reviews, and OESAR/NML assessments
  • Drive resolution of YELLOW/RED deliverables and PPAP issues
  • Participate in program change-control meetings and collaborate with program and purchasing leaders
  • Develop Parts Pedigree Risk and Industrialization Readiness Assessments
  • Manage phased PPAP status and timing plans to achieve on-time approvals
  • Arrange cross-functional meetings, manage action plans, and assure on-time PSW approvals
  • Monitor, manage, and escalate supplier PPAP and launch risks
  • Drive on-time PPAP completion through OTG meetings and communicate PSW status and delinquencies
  • Provide onsite STA Launch support for build events
  • Resolve supplier quality issues through AIMS, including containment, 8D follow-up, and ICA/PCA activity
  • Support startup, audit, craftsmanship, shortage, and white-board review meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science/Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • Proficient in English when working with global teams
  • Knowledge of STA Quality tools and systems
  • Knowledge of new model launch tools and systems
  • Ability to develop and present materials to leadership on short notice
  • Ability to lead resolution of manufacturing, quality, and/or capacity issues on-site with suppliers
  • Ability to travel in the US, Canada, and Mexico approximately 50-75% of the time
  • Manufacturing and Quality Experience
  • Cross-Functional/culture work experience
  • Program management experience
  • Extensive knowledge in manufacturing
  • Knowledge of AIAG (APQP), Product Planning Approval Process (PPAP), and extensive use of Quality Tools (5 Why, 8D, etc.)
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available
