About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
- Lead supplier training in various geographic locations on Ford’s new SAP ERP system, MM Module
- Monitor and analyze supplier performance data to identify improvement areas
- Conduct launch readiness reviews and audits with suppliers for new model programs at supplier sites
- Document findings and analysis in Ford’s Super G supplier readiness system
- Lead supplier evaluations for Ford plant capacity uplifts and shift additions
- Rate supplier readiness for each program and ensure all audits are completed 30 days before MP1
- Perform risk analysis and act on findings for new, critical, greenfield, and brownfield suppliers
- Collaborate with STA and Purchasing to escalate and resolve supplier noncompliance issues
- Provide onsite MP&L support, assistance, education, and training for distressed suppliers
- Perform root cause analysis in Super G to improve supplier delivery performance
- Act as MP&L lead for Ford supplier engagement teams
- Support current production during emergencies with onsite reviews or extended onsite MP&L support
- Travel to supplier and plant locations, sometimes for multiple days
- Collaborate with Purchasing on sourcing and resourcing actions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration
- 3+ years of experience in an OEM or Tier 1 company, preferably in the automotive industry
- Knowledge and deep understanding of supply chain management software SAP – MM Module
- Strong knowledge of Ford MP&L supply chain systems, including CMMS, Super G, GCP, and MCPV
- Experience with new supplier evaluation and supplier development
- Experience monitoring and improving supplier delivery performance KPIs
- Experience with critical/constraint supplier management
- Proven supply chain operations experience across inbound flows, packaging, outbound flows, diversity, demand and supply planning, in-plant logistics operations, and warehouse management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in large data handling and management
- Strong data analytical skills for identifying root causes, trends, insights, and operational improvements
- Strong storytelling capabilities with data to support data-driven decision-making
