About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Shadow, support, and learn from experienced Buyers and Supply Chain leaders
- Assist with strategic sourcing of overhead systems and lighting components for upcoming vehicle programs
- Help ensure target costs, timelines, and quality standards are met
- Conduct part-cost breakdowns and build “Should Cost” models
- Identify cost savings and efficiency-improvement opportunities
- Map sub-tier supply chains, including suppliers of plastics, LED chips, and microcontrollers
- Track geopolitical trends and identify opportunities to diversify the supply base
- Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, and Product Design teams
- Learn how overhead systems and advanced vehicle lighting progress from design to assembly-line production
- Learn about supplier manufacturing processes including injection molding, tooling, and electronics assembly
- Prepare data for physical supplier visits and negotiations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active student in one of the last 2 semesters of a Bachelor’s degree program
- Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial) or Business (Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics)
- Strong analytical skills
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including in English
- Proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Interest in manufacturing, costs, supply chains, and product movement
- Previous coursework, projects, or club experience related to procurement, negotiations, or manufacturing is desired but not required
- Passion for automotive technology, electronics, or electric vehicles is desired but not required
