Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the development and execution of comprehensive purchasing strategies for a Cockpit Commodity
  • Contribute to Pulse improvement initiatives and optimize business results
  • Lead sourcing activities for future vehicle programs
  • Partner with Product Development during early design phases to identify capable suppliers
  • Assess make-vs-buy and technology readiness
  • Build competitive and resilient sourcing strategies for vehicle launches
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers
  • Drive supplier performance, innovation, and long-term partnerships
  • Establish cross-functional relationships using Supplier Relationship Framework principles
  • Identify and help mitigate supply chain risks and support continuity of supply
  • Monitor supplier financial health, quality, and supply, including backup plans
  • Use Supply Risk Management tools to proactively avoid supply disruptions
  • Interface with Engineering, Product Development, Cost Estimating, Finance, and MP&L
  • Represent Supply Chain at cross-functional program/project management and launch meetings
  • Monitor industry trends, market conditions, technological advancements, and regulations
  • Engage with regulatory bodies, brokers, industry experts, benchmarking companies, and industry associations
  • Support development of category strategy plans and resiliency planning for Cockpit commodities
  • Use dashboards, AI technology, digital transformation, and Purchasing Policy
  • Ensure appropriate sign-off on contracts, risk assessments, and deviations according to Delegations of Authority

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Procurement or related field
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in procurement or strategic sourcing
  • Strong business acumen, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Ability to successfully work within cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Understanding of cost drivers and cost modeling
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
