About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist Buyers in creating and updating Local Commodity Strategies by gathering market intelligence and analyzing supplier capacity
  • Extract, consolidate, and analyze purchasing data and KPIs to identify spend patterns and develop data-driven recommendations
  • Identify procurement bottlenecks and propose or implement innovative solutions, including report automation and improved SAP/Ariba usage
  • Support cost optimization initiatives through financial models and benchmarks
  • Participate in large-scale project bids from budget planning through final vendor selection
  • Manage lower-complexity procurement projects or sub-commodities under Buyer supervision
  • Coordinate operational follow-ups with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Support supplier performance measurement using SLAs, delivery times, and quality metrics
  • Assist with supplier documentation, financial-health validation, and compliance checks to mitigate supply-chain risks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Final-year university student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial/Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • 0 to 2 years of experience; previous internships or academic projects in Procurement, Logistics, Data Analytics, or Project Management are a strong plus
  • Fluent/Advanced English proficiency, written and spoken, required
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to translate raw data into actionable insights and cost-saving opportunities
  • Self-starter mentality; willingness to challenge the status quo and propose efficient improvements
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment
