About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement of VSSE-IT software platforms, modeling ecosystems, and engineering data capabilities
- Define and execute technology roadmaps supporting systems engineering, digital engineering, product development, traceability, collaboration, and enterprise data integration
- Lead Siemens Teamcenter customization, architecture, administration, upgrades, integrations, troubleshooting, data synchronization, and operational readiness
- Integrate Teamcenter with MagicDraw/Cameo Systems Modeler, Teamwork Cloud, MBSE tools, requirements platforms, and enterprise engineering systems
- Manage and mentor cross-functional teams covering full-stack development, cloud platforms, DevOps, quality, cybersecurity, and production operations
- Guide delivery of secure, scalable, high-performance applications using Java, Spring Boot, Python, JavaScript, Angular or React, RESTful APIs, databases, and GCP services
- Establish DevOps practices involving Kubernetes/OpenShift, containers, Jenkins or Tekton, Terraform, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, observability, and infrastructure automation
- Advance AI/ML-enabled engineering capabilities using LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, analytics platforms, AI APIs, and intelligent modeling workflows
- Partner with Siemens Product Development on core product issues, patches, and fixes
- Collaborate with product, engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, infrastructure, PLM, and business stakeholders to prioritize delivery, manage risks, and conduct readiness reviews
- Promote Agile planning, backlog refinement, estimation, code reviews, quality practices, performance management, and continuous improvement
- Ensure solutions meet standards for security, compliance, data quality, traceability, performance, reliability, maintainability, and user adoption
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in software engineering, enterprise application development, technology delivery, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience with Product Lifecycle Management platforms
- At least 3 years of experience in people management, engineering management, delivery leadership, or a comparable technical leadership role
- Experience leading end-to-end delivery of enterprise software products and platforms using Agile, Scrum, or other iterative development methodologies
- Strong technical experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Python, JavaScript, and Angular or React
- Experience with GCP, OpenShift or Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD pipelines, Tekton or Jenkins, and Terraform
- Experience leading PLM integrations using REST, SOA, ITK, BMIDE, Active Workspace, or comparable technologies
- Experience with data platforms, analytics solutions, AI/ML initiatives, or engineering data integration programs
- Ability to establish technical direction, manage delivery risks, improve engineering processes, and deliver secure, reliable, production-ready solutions
- Preferred: advanced degree; Siemens Teamcenter, Teamcenter X, 3DEXPERIENCE, MBSE tools, automotive product development, SQL/NoSQL, distributed systems, AI/ML, LLMs, observability, cloud security, and global engineering team experience
