About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the Accreditation department and deliver a robust access-control framework
- Partner with internal stakeholders to anticipate needs, remove administrative friction and ensure security protocols support the event experience
- Act as a bridge between organisational leadership, internal departments and global stakeholders such as the FIA
- Drive software development for the global Accreditation System, prioritising user experience and streamlined processes
- Execute departmental strategy for mass production and worldwide logistics
- Align accreditation operations with SSR standards while adapting to changing business and on-the-ground needs
- Travel internationally to lead on-site operations during high-pressure race weekends
- Manage and mentor the Accreditation Manager and Coordinator
- Maintain an open-door policy for cross-functional stakeholders
- Manage departmental budgeting and forecasting
- Lead sustainable tendering processes
- Balance long-term planning with on-site execution to ensure secure and agile access-control operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Substantial project management experience within the international events or sports industry
- Experience managing complex, large-scale logistical operations
- Comprehensive understanding of operational interdependencies between security, hospitality and sporting functions
- Proven track record managing high-level stakeholder relationships, including race teams, local authorities and governing bodies such as the FIA
- Analytical, agile problem-solving skills and ability to thrive under pressure
- Calm, accessible and proactive presence during live race weekends
- Exceptional diplomatic and teamwork skills
- Flawless attention to detail across logistics, inventory control and technical system development
- Strong grasp of process improvement and leveraging technology to enhance the user journey
- Understanding of GDPR and data privacy regulations for global participant data
- Fluent in English
- Excellent communication skills
- A second language is highly desirable
- Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively throughout the international race season
