Key responsibilities & impact

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in GIS software, e.g., ArcGIS and QGIS
  • Proficiency with GIS programming languages, e.g., Python and R
  • Proficiency with GIS frameworks, e.g., arcpy and pandas
  • Understanding of spatial data structures and algorithms
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of forest management and forest data is an asset, especially in an Ontario context
