About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze industrial needs, specifications, and production requirements
  • Define suitable assembly solutions
  • Design and develop assembly machines, tooling, and industrial equipment
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and automation teams
  • Prepare technical specifications, request-for-quotation documents, and documentation required for design and implementation
  • Lead equipment development and integration through production launch
  • Coordinate suppliers and subcontractors
  • Monitor design studies, procurement, manufacturing, and testing, ensuring compliance with schedules, costs, and quality requirements
  • Participate in equipment commissioning, acceptance, and qualification
  • Define and monitor validation plans, performance testing, and acceptance criteria
  • Analyze malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Optimize the productivity, robustness, ergonomics, and maintainability of industrial equipment
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules, machinery standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare technical documentation, maintenance procedures, work instructions, and production transfer files

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree (Bac+5 equivalent) in industrial engineering, industrialization, mechanical engineering, or a related field
  • Initial experience in industrialization, special-purpose machine design, or assembly equipment integration, ideally in an industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of the design, manufacturing, integration, and qualification stages of assembly machines
  • Strong knowledge of industrialization principles, production flows, line balancing, and continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, technical files, and functional analyses
  • Strong knowledge of assembly, tooling, robotics, and industrial automation technologies
  • Proficiency in problem-solving methods, root cause analysis, and quality tools
  • Strong project management, supplier management, and multidisciplinary team coordination skills
  • Strong knowledge of requirements related to machine safety, ergonomics, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience in a demanding industrial sector is an asset
  • Proficiency in technical English is preferred
  • Occasional travel to supplier or client sites may be required
  • Rigorous, well-organized, and capable of leading technical projects
  • Strong team player with clear communication skills and initiative
