About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and model mechanical parts and assemblies using CATIA
- Create engineering drawings and produce the associated technical documentation
- Evaluate design solutions based on functional requirements, integration constraints, and manufacturing processes
- Contribute to the definition of architectures and the development of technical solutions
- Verify the consistency and compliance of designs with specifications, standards, and project requirements
- Incorporate functional dimensioning, tolerancing, and assembly constraints
- Contribute to design reviews and monitor technical changes
- Collaborate with design, analysis, methods, industrialization, production, and supplier teams
- Participate in resolving technical issues during development, industrialization, and production phases
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree (Bac +5) in mechanical engineering, industrial design, mechanical engineering, or a related field
- Initial experience in mechanical design, ideally gained in a design office or industrial environment, preferably in the aerospace sector
- Proficiency in or knowledge of 3D design and modeling of mechanical parts and assemblies using CATIA
- Proficiency in or knowledge of creating and interpreting engineering drawings
- Proficiency in or knowledge of mechanical sizing, functional dimensioning, and tolerancing
- Proficiency in or knowledge of mechanical design principles and material selection
- Proficiency in or knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrialization constraints
- Proficiency in or knowledge of bill of materials management, configurations, and design definition changes
- Attention to detail, technical curiosity, and analytical skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and strong interpersonal skills
- Professional English proficiency is a plus, depending on the projects
