About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Implement company project control methodology by managing and controlling the financial performance of client projects
- Provide support and guidance for international purchases, importing and international tax issues
- Manage financial aspects of assigned client projects in support of delivery project managers
- Support international projects, including contract development and conformance, risk mitigation, project reporting and project status
- Manage project billings, including validation of contract milestones, progress billings, change orders and customer invoicing
- Lead customer-facing discussions regarding billing, payment status, contract payment terms and disputed invoices
- Implement earned value performance measurement processes with project management teams
- Interface with project accountants supporting projects
- Support Finance with international tax reporting issues
- Support Procurement with international purchases, importing and duties
- Communicate with project managers regarding contract documents, change orders, approvals and additional services
- Analyze project variances, delayed collections and forecasted cost overruns
- Communicate project information to management and maintain open issue resolution
- Implement process improvements for project controls and earned value measurement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum of eight (8) years of related accounting experience
- Advanced English
- Ability to work in a high-growth environment and rapidly changing organization
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general business software
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 5%)
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job
- International project accounting experience (desired)
- Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or Infor LN (desired)
