About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build relationships with financial advisors and RIAs, banks and broker-dealers, nonprofits, and foundations
- Bring Donor Advised Fund, private foundation, and philanthropic advisory capabilities to market
- Support existing clients while growing a book of business alongside senior sales leadership
- Develop, support, and execute sales strategies for the philanthropic technology platform
- Build and manage a prospect pipeline through outbound outreach, referral networks, and conference participation
- Conduct consultative sales conversations, needs assessments, product demonstrations, and proposal support
- Work with senior sales leadership to advance and close agreements with distribution partners and institutional clients
- Meet quarterly and annual activity metrics and revenue targets
- Maintain communication with distribution partners and assigned accounts to support engagement and retention
- Understand client philanthropic goals and provide ongoing support as a subject matter expert
- Conduct business reviews to track platform usage and identify growth opportunities
- Respond to client inquiries and coordinate issue resolution with internal teams
- Partner with client success and product teams to support smooth client onboarding
- Conduct presentations, webinars, and training sessions on philanthropic giving vehicles
- Articulate service and technology value across multiple use cases
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive offerings
- Attend and represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and networking events
- Partner with marketing on sales enablement materials, case studies, and thought leadership content
- Maintain accurate pipeline records in CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot
- Provide pipeline updates and market feedback to senior leadership
- Collaborate with product, technology, and compliance teams to relay client needs and inform the product roadmap
- Perform other assigned duties consistent with the role
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in financial services sales, wholesaling, or a client-facing role within wealth management or philanthropy
- Track record of hitting activity targets and contributing to revenue growth
- Experience working with or selling to financial advisors, RIAs, broker-dealers, or nonprofit organizations
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to explain financial, tax, and estate planning concepts to varied audiences
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own schedule and priorities in a remote environment
- Willingness to travel up to 30–40% nationally
- Working knowledge of philanthropic giving vehicles, including Donor Advised Funds, private foundations, or philanthropic advisory services (preferred)
- Exposure to philanthropic technology platforms, charitable giving solutions, or financial services wealth platforms (preferred)
- Familiarity with private foundation operations, grantmaking, or philanthropic advisory services (preferred)
- Existing relationships within the RIA, broker-dealer, or community foundation space (preferred)
- Progress toward or interest in earning a CFP, CSPG, CAP®, or other financial planning or philanthropic designation (preferred)
- Background in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, or foundation management (preferred)
- Must have a distraction-free home office or workspace
- Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
- Must meet the physical demands of the position, including talking/hearing, using hands/fingers, standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and visual focus requirements
