About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead member growth across the UK and Europe
- Build relationships with founders, executives, investors, and technology leaders
- Pitch Founders Pledge and secure charitable commitments
- Handle objections and drive follow-up to convert prospects into pledges
- Own and convert a prospect pipeline
- Develop market strategies for assigned territories
- Analyse founder communities and determine market priorities
- Build prospect lists using current European technology news
- Develop ecosystem partnerships with venture capital firms, accelerators, and other organisations
- Secure warm introductions through existing members and ecosystem partners
- Represent Founders Pledge at conferences, webinars, dinners, and other events
- Collaborate with the Member Experience team and cross-functional teams
- Maintain reliable, up-to-date CRM data
- Contribute to the team's annual target of more than $1.5B in new commitments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Track record in sales, fundraising, or business development
- Significant sales experience with senior stakeholders
- Experience in business development, sales, strategic partnerships, or major gifts fundraising
- Track record of influencing founders and/or high-net-worth individuals
- Strong entrepreneurial network in London or across Europe, or peerage with mid-to-late stage founders
- Confidence and autonomy to own a portfolio of markets end-to-end
- High emotional intelligence and persistence balanced with empathy
- Ability to work independently across territories within a small, fast-moving team
- Ability to speak confidently at events and on stage
- Experience collaborating strategically with executive leaders
- Strategic ownership and project management experience
- Good judgement and clear written and verbal communication
- Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences
- Willingness to travel approximately 10–20% of the time
- Must be able to work from London; relocation support is not offered
