About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently manage clients’ ongoing financial accounting
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and clarify outstanding items
- Independently prepare and compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Communicate and coordinate with tax advisors and auditors
- Maintain ongoing communication and work closely with clients
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid practical experience in financial accounting and financial statement preparation
- Proficient knowledge and application of relevant accounting regulations under the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Experience preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Advanced practical knowledge of DATEV and the ability to independently process accounting records using the software
- Proficiency in Excel
- Knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, or NetSuite is a plus
- Structured, meticulous, and independent approach to work
- Very good German language skills
- Good English language skills
- Confident, friendly, and service-oriented communication with clients
- Personable, reliable, and a good sense of humor
