About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage end-to-end logistics and on-site execution for assigned events
  • Execute facility logistics, resource scheduling, crew assignments, vendor coordination, and on-site contingency planning
  • Build and manage event crew grids and support event crewing needs
  • Serve as the operational contact for Field Technical Managers, Operations Managers, crews, and production
  • Provide event-level input on staffing models, recurring issues, and process gaps
  • Process vendor invoices, monitor costs, flag variances, and support vendor quote comparisons
  • Maintain relationships with vendors, school and conference operations staff, and venue personnel
  • Maintain and update operational documentation, checklists, and standard operating procedures
  • Improve workflows, processes, and technology changes across assigned events and support rollout with field teams
  • Coordinate across Operations, Production, Engineering, Finance, and Business Affairs to resolve logistical issues
  • Identify recurring operational problems, propose fixes, and contribute data and post-event reporting
  • Supervise and coach coordinators and event crew

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of management experience in live sports, broadcast, or event operations, including direct supervision of field or event staff
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-site or multi-event logistics on a seasonal schedule
  • Experience coordinating with vendors, venues, and external partners in a live event environment
  • Working knowledge of event budgets, invoicing, and cost tracking
  • Proficient in spreadsheet, writing, and presentation programs such as MS Office and Google Suite
  • Proficient with online collaboration tools such as Smartsheet, Playbook, and Slack
  • Ability to manage time-sensitive communications across large and regionally diverse groups at all hours
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple concurrent events and shifting priorities
  • Sound judgment under pressure, ability to make quick on-site decisions, and ability to escalate appropriately
  • Ability to travel approximately 30–60% throughout the year
