About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate all engineering work, including maintaining the overall technical solution, developing procedures, and defining and acquiring required tools and materials
- Prepare engineering work and other activities required to implement contracts within budget and schedule
- Plan, organize, implement, and complete solutions addressing client needs
- Define and forecast the skills and work arrangements needed to support project objectives
- Support decisions on emergent-work staffing
- May supervise or coordinate the day-to-day operations of engineers, designers, engineering technicians, and others assisting with project assignments
- Represent the company in communications with other organizations to resolve questions and plan and coordinate work
- Propose plans and cost-improvement programs supporting project business objectives
- Serve as the primary interface between engineering disciplines, project management, customers, suppliers, and regulatory stakeholders
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within scope, and in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and contractual requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology, and Engineering Science may also be accepted depending on the position
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience
- Good knowledge of project life cycles, methodologies, and phases
- Good understanding of a specific engineering discipline
- Knowledge of supply chain and procurement practices
- Knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Stakeholder coordination, team collaboration, and client presentations
- Prioritization, deadline tracking, and multitasking
- Root cause analysis, innovative thinking, and adaptability
- Engineering analysis background in ASME Section III and/or XI, Thermal Hydraulics, Fluid Systems Design, Electrical, or I&C
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards
- EPC or capital project experience
- Systems Engineering experience
- PE or EIT certification
- Offers are contingent on a background check and drug screen where applicable
- Must meet eligibility requirements for access to information subject to U.S. export control regulations
