About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead sales activity and drive business growth in the North America region, including Canada and the US
  • Identify opportunities and define business strategies through contract conclusion
  • Develop bidding strategies
  • Understand market dynamics and customer needs and align growth strategy with customer goals
  • Research, collect data, and analyze market trends to define sales strategy
  • Build and maintain relationships with customer stakeholders, decision makers, and partners
  • Partner with the New Build Tendering team during the ITO phase
  • Lead the Deal Team for assigned opportunities, including offer compilation, submission, and contract negotiations
  • Deliver commitments, communicate progress and strategies, and meet or exceed targets
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements for high-value deals
  • Recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services
  • Support cross-functional initiatives
  • Maintain CRM records for assigned opportunities
  • Provide regular sales performance reports and forecasts to senior leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering Sciences or Business Administration from an accredited university
  • Meaningful power plant or energy industry-related experience
  • 10+ years of experience in customer-facing roles and complex customer interface management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong negotiation, closing, and contract management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets and deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Specialized knowledge across conventional island product lines, markets, sales processes, and customer groups
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to travel frequently
  • Ability to handle complex tasks or problems within projects, markets, sales processes, campaigns, or customers
  • Ability to assess information quality and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders or customers
  • Ability to develop solutions outside set parameters and provide recommendations
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization and lead cross-functional teams
  • Fluent in English
