About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design efficient, high-quality interface programs and create logical program code
Write clear and concise system descriptions meeting project requirements
Investigate interface-related business and system requirements for new or modified requests
Determine interface impacts and document required configuration and build changes
Evaluate business requirements and processes, provide solutions, and estimate development efforts
Communicate with team members to address application functionality, workflow requirements, and needs
Serve as point person for assigned interfaces, including analysis calls, requirements documentation, issue escalation, and interface code configuration/build changes
Coordinate or assist with interface testing and validation
Troubleshoot production and testing/validation interface issues and related applications
Run error-code frequency reports, investigate errors and failure causes, and propose or implement solutions
Develop or document interface specifications
Create HL7 field and sub-field mapping documents using Epic and other system values
Perform configuration/build changes

Requirements

What you’ll need

2 years of programming experience or 3 years of FMOLHS IS system experience; a Bachelor's Degree in an IT field substitutes for 2 years of programming experience
High School graduate or equivalent
Knowledge of HL7 standards and experience with interface engines
