About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead configuration management activities across the product lifecycle, ensuring traceability, consistency, and compliance
- Define, maintain, and control product baselines and configuration items
- Coordinate configuration changes from review and approval through implementation and documentation
- Maintain and improve the Product Data Management (PDM) system
- Develop and implement configuration management processes, tools, and best practices across the organisation
- Design and develop mechanical systems, assemblies, and components to meet technical requirements
- Create and maintain engineering drawings, documentation, and technical data
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in the design of complex mechanical systems
- Proficiency in CAD tools, configuration management systems, and preparation and maintenance of accurate technical documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong alignment with the mission to build affordable and mass-manufacturable defence technologies
- Willingness to undergo a background check as a condition of employment
