About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and develop electronic circuits and high-quality PCB layouts for embedded systems in compliance with defence and industry standards
  • Specify and validate components for defence applications under harsh environmental conditions
  • Develop engineering prototypes and support iterative testing, troubleshooting, and hardware validation
  • Collaborate on hardware-software co-design, define robust interfaces, and support firmware integration and verification
  • Produce design specifications, bills of materials, test plans, and verification evidence for qualification and regulatory compliance
  • Support procurement and oversee transition from prototype development to full-scale manufacturing
  • Drive improvements to performance, robustness, reliability, and manufacturability of embedded hardware
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams across the product lifecycle

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A technical degree or diploma in electronics engineering, computer engineering, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in the design and development of embedded electronic hardware, including complex electronic circuits and PCB-based systems
  • Strong electronic design and development skills, including schematic capture, PCB layout, circuit simulation, testing and debugging, and creation of accurate technical documentation
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong alignment with the mission to build affordable and mass-manufacturable defence technologies
  • Willingness to undergo a background check as a condition of employment
