About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Human-AI Interaction team on practice-oriented projects with industry or research partners
  • Develop complex experimental setups and demonstrators for testing humanoid robots in human-centered environments
  • Choose and work on one of five thesis focus topics: multi-agent orchestration, sim-to-real transfer, imitation learning, teleoperated monitoring, or a human-AI interaction harness for care
  • Research and design architectures, localization strategies, simulation environments, learning models, teleoperation pipelines, visualization methods, runtime environments, integrations, and safety mechanisms depending on the selected topic
  • Implement prototypes and test them with humanoid robots
  • Evaluate accuracy, robustness, scalability, generalization, reaction time, situational awareness, or safe action execution depending on the topic
