About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer and support industrial automation and control systems servers, workstations and associated IT hardware
  • Administer process control Active Directory domain and security services
  • Support daily systems backups, anti-virus updates and operating system patching
  • Administer and support industrial automation and control systems network infrastructure, including Ethernet communications, network hardware, fiber optic and UTP infrastructure
  • Coordinate system maintenance and support activities with Process Control personnel
  • Plan, develop and implement procedures
  • Facilitate upgrades to system software and hardware
  • Collaborate with Process Control and Plant Engineering staff on system modifications, enhancements and expansions
  • Ensure IT infrastructure alignment with corporate standards
  • Participate in and promote Safety and Environmental programs
  • Ensure MIS policy compliance and site operational goals
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or an Engineering discipline, OR Associate's degree in Information Systems or related discipline and four (4) years of experience, OR High School diploma or GED and six (6) years of experience
  • Basic understanding of LAN Administration functions including server hardware/virtualization, backups, patching, and anti-virus, or industrial automation systems including PLCs, HMIs or DCS
  • IT LAN Administration or Industrial Automation and Control System experience preferred
  • LAN Administration experience, including Microsoft Windows, Backup Exec or other backup software, and OS patching preferred
  • Industrial Automation and Control Systems experience, including DCS, PLC, SCADA and RTU preferred
  • Process Data Historian experience, including AspenTech Infoplus.21 or OSISoft PI, preferred
  • Cisco networking experience preferred
  • Customer service-oriented with good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • May be required to pass a medical exam
  • Must pass all required training and/or testing
  • May be required to work a non-standard schedule, including shift work at a 24/7, 365-day operation
  • Mandatory pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol testing, as allowed by applicable laws
